At the Vet

For Primary Veterinarians

Abdominal Ultrasound

  • Written report and assessment included
     

  • Full case summary not included
     

  • Canine, feline, rabbit, ferret

Sampling

  • Abdominal and thoracic fine needle aspirate, diagnostic abdominocentesis

Written Case Review

  • A full written summary of the case in SOAP format (emailed or printed) with diagnostic and treatment recommendations including dosages if requested
     

  • May recommend referral to a specialty center

Emergency Services

  • Available off-hours for emergency imaging and case review

Additional Information

  • All ultrasound reports will include differentials for lesions but not a full case summary or further case recommendations. Case consultation with ultrasound is advised.
     

  • Case consultation is available without concurrent ultrasound.
     

  • All cases will remain under the care of the primary veterinarian.
     

  • All client communication and follow-ups will be performed by the primary veterinarian.
     

  • Primary veterinarians are responsible for administering sedation if needed. Primary veterinarians are responsible for ensuring patients are stable for ultrasound or aspirate.
     

  • Patient records should be emailed the day prior, if possible, for any case consultations.
